The ILC strives to provide Participants and Supporters with valuable information to help advanced and integrated lighting projects be successful. The ILC Resources page includes items, such as product search tools, reports, fact sheets, utility incentive lists, and webinars/trainings. To help hone in on topics of interest, you may also specify keyword tags, such as HVAC, plug loads, IoT, non-energy benefits, etc. using the site’s filtering feature.
Are you aware that incentives may exist for your advanced/integrated lighting project? Several organizations maintain incentive lists, such as DesignLights Consortium (an ILC Organizer), Consortium for Energy Efficiency, N.C. Clean Energy Technology Center (DSIRE), and Better Buildings. Utilities interested in creating incentive programs may be interested in learning about the work being done by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s Getting Beyond Widgets team to identify and develop validated protocols for specific buildings systems. Find these resources by using the filter called “Utility Incentive.”
Are you up-to-date on all the research and findings for advanced lighting and controls and the integration of systems? Or, are you still trying to decide if they are right for your project? The ILC website is a great place to find some of the latest research reports from the national laboratories and other sources, along with white papers on technology, and more. For example, if you are wondering how much energy you could save from the installation of a networked lighting control system, DesignLights consortium recently published a report that is linked on the site. Also, if you are wanting to know the best applications for plug-load controls, National Renewable Energy Laboratory reports are available, such as “Integrating Smart Plug and Process Load Controls into Energy Management” and “Assessing and Reducing Plug and Process Loads in Office Buildings.” Find these resources, and more, by filtering by “Report | Fact Sheet.”

If you are seeking educational resources, such as webinars and courses, some which may even provide continuing education credits, filter the Resources page by “Webinars | Training.” There, you will find links to some great webinars, as well as courses from Lighting Controls Association (an ILC Organizer and Supporter), such as a new course titled “EE115: Integration and Building Automation” which covers how lighting control systems are interacting with other buildings systems today.
We’ve also recently added a series of video resources to the website. The videos include excerpts from presentations, webinars, and seminars given by various experts in the field of integrated lighting. You can view the videos on the ILC Resources page.
Know a good resource that is not on our website? Have a good project or data to share? Consider contacting the ILC or joining the ILC and submitting your project for possible recognition. A case study may be developed for your project as part of our recognition/documenting efforts.
